2. What data we collect

In connection with your use of the Site and our services, we may collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Identification and contact data: first name, last name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address
  • Order data: products purchased, purchase history, order value
  • Payment data: handled directly by our payment service providers (Shopify Payments, PayPal, Klarna); Youth Srl does not store full payment card details
  • Browsing data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, time spent, automatically collected via cookies and similar technologies, including through third-party tools such as Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads) and Meta (Meta Pixel)
  • Data you provide voluntarily: information submitted through contact forms, support requests, or newsletter sign-up (managed via Shopify Email)

3. Purposes and legal basis of processing

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

a) Order management and contract performance — processing purchases, shipping products, handling returns, withdrawal and warranty claims, customer support. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

b) Tax, accounting and legal obligations — issuing invoices/receipts, complying with applicable law. Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

c) Marketing activities (newsletters via Shopify Email, promotional communications, offers) — only with your explicit, revocable consent. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

d) Analytics and advertising — via Google Analytics (traffic and behavior analysis), Google Ads and Meta Pixel (measuring ad campaign effectiveness and delivering personalized ads on Google, Facebook and Instagram). Legal basis: consent, collected via the Site's cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

e) Fraud prevention and security — verifying transactions and preventing fraudulent activity. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Cookies

The Site uses technical cookies necessary for the store to function, and — subject to consent — profiling and third-party cookies, including those set by Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads) and Meta (Meta Pixel), for analytics and marketing/remarketing purposes. Your personal data may be shared with:

  • Our e-commerce platform provider (Shopify Inc. and affiliates), which hosts the Site, manages its technical infrastructure and provides the newsletter service (Shopify Email)
  • Payment service providers (Shopify Payments, PayPal, Klarna), limited to the data necessary to process the transaction
  • Google (Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited), for Google Analytics and Google Ads
  • Meta (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited), for Meta Pixel/Meta Ads, used on Facebook and Instagram
  • Couriers and shipping carriers, for order delivery
  • Tax, legal and administrative advisors, where required by law
  • Public authorities, where required by law

These parties process data as data processors or as independent controllers, in accordance with Articles 26 and 28 et seq. GDPR.

6. International data transfers

Some of the providers listed above (in particular Shopify Inc., Google LLC and Meta Platforms, Inc.) may process data outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. Where this occurs, the transfer is based on appropriate safeguards under the GDPR, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision where applicable (e.g. the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for participating providers).

7. Data retention

Order-related data is retained for the period required under applicable tax and civil law (typically 10 years for accounting and tax purposes). Data processed for marketing purposes is retained until consent is withdrawn. Browsing data collected via cookies (including Google and Meta) is retained according to the periods set out in our Cookie Policy.

8. Your rights

As a data subject, under Articles 15-22 GDPR you have the right to:

  • confirm whether we process your data and access it (right of access)
  • request correction of inaccurate data or completion of incomplete data (right to rectification)
  • request deletion of your data, in the cases provided by law (right to erasure)
  • request restriction of processing (right to restriction)
  • receive your data in a structured format and transmit it to another controller (right to data portability)
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest, including for direct marketing purposes (right to object)
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal

To exercise these rights, write to store@youthsrl.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali, www.garanteprivacy.it) if you believe our processing violates applicable law.

9. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without parental consent. If we become aware that we have collected a child's data without such consent, we will delete it promptly.

10. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, destruction or accidental disclosure, in accordance with Art. 32 GDPR.
